I need to confess: I saw Top Gun Maverick for the third time on Father’s Day. I loved it as much as I did the first two times. I also love sharing it with my dad, again, and my first-time-father-brother!
Like so many of Nali’s weeks lately, this one was up and down. We’re on a good streak with “long” (read: 4 houses) walks and small zooms and no poops in the house for most of the week this week. I talked to a doggie psychic, and she doesn’t think Nali is ready to go yet. It’s probably true, as long as she still zooms, she’s happy.
I also got some great perspective from my therapist, who said: “just as she’s your girl, you’re her girl.” Whoa! I never thought of it that way—that as hard as it is for me to lose her, she feels the same way, and it will be hard for her to lose me. Aw. Grateful for that pupper.
Grateful for: the lasting happiness effects of a bestie visit, a fabulous CHIEF happy hour last night where I met amazing women execs and was inspired by the community, a great Victor haircut, delicious Faye on 34th meals all week, baby neph snuggles, good workouts and walks, cryo, that six month anni, sweet goodwill finds, CAB, my neighbros, and my handsome humanitarian warrior.
