Despite the deluge of rain the past few days weeks month, I managed to squeeze in some much-needed yard work last weekend. I asked my dad to help me—I wanted to tear out some bushes for an herb garden and move some stones around, he decided we should trim all the tree limbs and brought three chainsaws over accordingly. So trim tree limbs we did. (And it looks awesome) (Dad is almost always right) (Don’t tell him I said so)
It’s so much fun to do, though. I get to decide where the “tree canopy” is going to go, what I’m going to plant where, what stays and goes … who knew I hated bushes so much? I’m excited to see the yard take shape! And, y’know, spend time with my dad doin’ dad shit.
My other favorite thing I did this week was go to see Honne! It was an awesome show. It was a rainy, chilly night so their hit Warm on a Cold Night was absolutely perfect and his voice is the best and after the show a quick dose of nostalgia via Shakespeare’s on dirty sixth completed a stellar evening.
I’m also super excited about a project I’m just starting on … more to come on that.
This weekend marks another weekend with nothing on the agenda, which is absolutely thrilling. I can’t wait to see what the weekend holds!
