The perfect skinny entryway piece, with drawers. A repository for keys, dog treats and poop bags, purses, with bins for backpacks and shopping bags underneath.
I found it outside my new apartment almost a year ago, and it took me about 7 months to get around to redoing it, but boy was I happy when I did.
Chalkboard spray paint.
Too easy to make an awesome, custom, fun piece out of trash.
Chalkboard paint could be on its way out. But who cares? It’s $9 and one can completely covered this piece. I added contemporary square-ish drawer pulls, and the piece is good as new.
Not only do I love not spending money, but I love not putting another piece of furniture out into the world when this one works better than any piece I could have bought. Upcycling FTW!
Thanks for teaching me there’s no shame in the dumpster-diving game, Mom.
