Saturday morning in Austin I got the chance to do something very, very rare: work out with friends!! Alex, Veronica, and I tackled Alex’s programmed workout from Wes at CrossFitAustin. It was a fun workout, but more importantly for me, it was fun to workout with friends! When I was in Austin all the time, Alex and V were my most constant workout partners, and I’ve missed them A TON here in Aspen.
Enough of the love fest. Without further ado:
5 Rounds
1 minute russian step ups (box steps with knee drive)
1 minute ring dips (I used half a blue band)
1 minute KB swings 16kg
1 minute plank
Rest 10 minutes
3 Rounds
30 seconds max reps bench press 95#
Rest 3 minutes
30 seconds max meter row
Rest 3 minutes
It was a long, fun workout that wasn’t too intense, followed by giant salads at California Pizza Kitchen, where we all reminisced about how we haven’t eaten at CPK since college, but we should, because their salads are giant and delicious. 🙂
