Y’all know I try to be as chemical-free as possible. My family never used fabric softener in our laundry growing up, so as an “adult”, I haven’t either. But when I heard about Woolzies Dryer Balls, which promise not only to replace fabric softener but decrease drying time, I absolutely had to try them … I want soft clothes with natural fabric softener!
I also want to pay less money to the half-ass dryer in my apartment complex that takes 80 minutes to not-even-all-the-way dry large loads of laundry.
The actual Woolzies are handmade balls of wool about the size of a softball. If you have wool allergies, they are still safe for you to use (how? don’t know … magic!)
You throw all the balls (6) in the dryer, and your clothes come out soft and dry 25-40% faster!
I do giant loads of laundry—that whole having to get $2.50 in quarters thing—and the Woolzies STILL cut down drying time by at least 20 minutes! I am hooked on this all-natural money-saver, time-saver, and softness-creator!
Here is my dark laundry load with six Woolzies:
