It’s a weird, weird world we live in right now. With racism and censorship overshadowing government control surrounding Covid, it can be overwhelming to know where to focus my attention, and what to write about. What privilege I enjoy; what discrimination I face all the same. So today, like every Friday, we’ll stick to a gratitude list, whimsical and lighthearted though it may be.
Feel Good Friday Gratitude List
- SUP off the cliff deck leading into family porch time … learned to always bring a CHANGE!
- Adult kiddie pool into blind rose tasting lololo
- Downtown bike ride to deserted pool time
- New nature walks in Lakeway! Might have broken a Nali though.
- Front yard sittin’ and realizing how much of an important part of socializing, relaxing, and day-distinction it has become during quarantime… it’s damn near the only routine thing about this time (that and morning Nali walks).
- Family. I am so lucky to come from and have a connected, open-hearted, loving family.
- Friends, near and far.
- Grateful for CAMPING PLANS next week! Get me to the woods!!
- My career support group, two women I’ve never met in person who have kept me afloat during this job search. I’m so grateful for their faith and support.
- LunchClub.ai … networking from home, across the nation. Had my first call today, and I was trepidatious but it was actually really cool. They pair you with someone, and off you go—for free.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY (yesterday) TO MY CHILDHOOD BESTIE! I cannot wait to celebrate you in person—I am so grateful for 29(!!!) years of friendship!
