Because I visited three states in as many days last weekend and by noon tomorrow I will be in a fourth, we’re doing yet another feel good whatever day.
But I am SO grateful I got to celebrate two wonderful, amazing couples at two weddings this past weekend. I’ve been thinking a lot about weddings, and what an awesome commitment ceremony they are—the bride and groom get very vulnerable making serious vows, and then everyone celebrates the crap out of them! Everyone shares pictures and stories and laughs and you get to know more details about your closest friends’ and family’s daily lives.
I love a wedding! Even if I had to third wheel the first one, with one of my closest friends and his girlfriend who I am so grateful welcomed me with open arms. Even if I had to dance in a boot! Even if I left early to make sure I made my 5:15am flight. Even if nothing, it was an awesome wedding.
I’m grateful my travel day was super smooth, I’m grateful my boyfriend’s brother who I claim as my own came to pick me up at the airport, I’m grateful for my handsome helpful humanitarian warrior’s family and how wonderful they are. I’m grateful for my aspen thrift pendleton-maybe blanket coat, which kept me warm in 30 mph winds, and gold sperry snow boots I found last minute at nordstrom rack, and not seeing the city of Telluride at all because I was really only there for the wedding!
I’m grateful for a handsome helpful humanitarian warrior who is as hilarious as they come, giggling outside of the Montrose airport with me sipping contraband beers and soaking up the last of the Colorado sun I love so dearly.
The rest of the things I’m grateful for?
I love my job.
Grateful for a long-term friendships, like the one I have with Allison, who interviewed me for her latest talk: Imposter Talks: Lyssa (on LinkedIn)
Grateful for friends who came over just to meet Bob with the trainer, and grateful we get Bob back permanently next Monday! He’s a whole new dog! Grateful for the dog trainer too.
I’m grateful for the Kollective gym, my current home gym. It’s still in a bit of a developmental state but perfect for my current injury as I tackle armsplosion.
I’m grateful for the trip I’m embarking on, and I’m grateful for everyone who reads this blog still! Thank you!!
