Vote. Vote for the president.
But more important, read your ballot pamphlet (California’s looks more like a phone book). Vote on the propositions and state ballot initiatives that impact your day to day life. Vote on the city council that sets the tone for where you live, and your congressional representation. Because even in a state like California where it feels like things are already won, your vote matters.
Voting matters.
Oh, and I’ll just proudly say this is the second state in which I have voted to legalize marijuana, and the second state in which I expect that initiative to pass. People have the right to make their own decisions about what they put in their bodies. And the state can benefit from the taxes on a trade of goods that is happening anyway.
