When I lived in LA for a summer, I lived more or less on UCLA’s campus. Since west coast schools get out so much later than we do, I was already there for the summer by the time their finals hit. Well, there’s this crazy UCLA tradition called UNDIE RUN, where all the undergrads strip down to their undies and run through campus. Something about relieving the stress about finals. I was awed, and we could see the run from the safety of our balcony, which was hilarious.
Now you too have your chance to witness an Undie Run.
Friday, May 7 starting at 5pm (the run is at 6:30p) at 2222 Rio Grande (across from Pluckers), thousands of half-naked humanitarians are getting down to their undies to raise money and collect clothing for charity. The AXE Undie Run Challenge encourages participants and spectators to bring clothing to be donated to local nonprofit, Front Steps. AXE is also donating $5,000 to the group.
More info, including contests, on the Facebook event here.
You’re gonna need the Pluckers drink specials after watching this … $2 beers, $2 margaritas, $1 jello shots.
