Grounding.
I’ve been back in Austin for just over a week now, and I’m so happy. I feel at ease, at home. My bug bites are healing, Nali is getting used to the heat, and I’m spending time around the lake as much as possible to try to make up for missing the ocean.
Nurturing.
I absolutely love my gym, Hyde Park, which is dirty, grungy, and filled with the sweat of a thousand bodybuilders before me—just what I need. It’s even biking distance from my temporary digs.
I also love my temporary digs, which feature a fabulous back and front yard, a deep bathtub, and, perhaps most importantly, a little pocket office that is basically a positive productivity vortex: SO much work is getting done! It’s on the way from my parents’ office to their house, and I love that they just keep popping by. They’re the cutest.
Exciting.
I have no idea what’s next. I’ve been recovering and rejuvenating, and then it will be time to go out into my new/home city and explore!
