Trader Joe’s should be no one’s primary source of wine. But it’s just so convenient, and it has great prices on household-name wine—perfect for keeping your wine rack stocked.
The top 5 wines I’m currently buying at Trader Joe’s are:
- Dearly Beloved I Thee Red – red blend – $7.99 – this is the perfect wine to bring to a party, or casual get-together, or share on a Tuesday. It’s delicious in a generic way, won’t offend anyone and will probably appeal to everyone.
- Sebastiani 2013 Cab – $13.99 – this is a good solid California Cab at a good solid price.
- Bogle cab – $7.99 – another good solid cab at a great price.
- LAMBRUSCO!! – $4.99 -you read it here: I am officially calling Lambrusco the Rosé of Summer 2016. These are easy-drinking summer sippers, made for porches and cheese platters. At 5 bucks a pop, you can afford the white and the red.
