This Ariana Grande song really resonates with me: it catalogues where gratitude becomes peace, no matter what the past looked like.
Today is my last day at Alorica, and it’s incredibly bittersweet. What an opportunity for learning and growth in just three short—and long!—years, across multiple departments and locations.
The notes from coworkers have been tearjerking, to say the least. The only word for this is bittersweet: I am so sad to leave the absolutely amazing people I’ve worked with. But I am SO excited to embark on the new adventure! I have a coworker who asks almost every Friday, “are you headed to Santa Rita for an El Presidente yet?” Today, I sent him this picture:
It seemed like the perfect way to commemorate, celebrate, and be a bit sad at leaving my very first “corporate” gig. thank u, next.
You know what I’m NOT grateful for? NOT getting to see DMX, again. SXSW, I hate you, but DMX I still love you. The waiting-in-line failure did, however, lead to the discovery of this darlin’ pocket bar in a parking garage, and no I will not tell you where it is because it’s too awesome and I want to keep it all to myself. It’s around the corner from my new job, so I intend for it to be my new Local.
This weekend, I head out for some bonus spring skiing in Tahoe, and I cannot wait! What a way to celebrate the ending of an era and the beginning of a new one…
