… or, My Legs Are Too Sore and Bruised To Work Out Any More
After a bike ride to and from town, which I will probably repeat tonight as I head in for a cookout and live music show, I hit the dog park and its bright green grass for an arm-heavy tabata workout. After Wednesday’s cardio trifecta (run/sprints + bike + three-hour-soccer marathon), I wanted to focus on my upper body today. Also because I have committed myself to CrossFit Austin’s Murph Day on July 3 and I’m not sure how good I am at pullups anymore, and there are 100 in that workout.
Anyway, WOD:
Tabata My Arms Off (20 on: 10 off)
Deadhang pullups on a really fat bar [3/3/3/2/1/3/1/2]
Pushups [8/8/8/8/8/8/6/8]
Inverted burpees [3 each round, longest handstand hold 5 seconds]
Ring handstand hold
Cool down: playing the park with the pup, who is now curled into a ball sleeping. It’s a hard life, being a dog. We should all take notes…
