Lately I’ve been stealing CrossFit Austin workouts … it’s not exactly stealing, but you know what I mean. Anyway, last night I performed this one, in MY gym crowded by high school boys (apparently their gym is shut down for winter break) who were stealing the squat rack to perform squats far too heavy for them with horrible form and in terrible shoes. Not that I was judging. I did say just one thing to one kid about needing to take off his shoes and he did and it improved his form immediately. Just saying.
Anyway, without futher adieu, the workout:
Take ten minutes to build to a technical 5 rep max in the Push Press
107# … I know I can do more!! Ugh shoulder strength.
1 Power Clean
5 Push Press (@ 90% of skill session weight)
10 Burpees
Rest appx 2:30 Minutes
*First :90 active rest practice spidermans, and hollow rocks
*Last :60 total rest
*Weight and best split time recorded = 92#, 49 seconds
I did that whole burpee challenge thing and I. STILL. HATE. BURPEES.
I was leaving the gym and a man said, “Well, you’re good at what you do!”
Huh? What does that even mean?!
