Revelation of the day: there are sticks long enough to double as PVC pipes down by the river!
So now I am collecting them, and storing them in a corner of the bridge, just in case That Ripped Guy of Mine(TM) or my other friends want to come to Nature’s Garage Gym CrossFit ABC123 with me!
Warmup: down, up, and down the stairs, 1/2 mile walk/jog, intermittent boulder jumps, Burgener warmup with a stick
WOD: 10 x 10-second sprints
Warmdown: another Burgener series, 3 x 30 second handstand holds (one foot against the bridge beam)
Then hiked about 2 beautiful miles with Nali.
Where we almost got arrested, or at least a $100 off-leash fine. Oops. The Texan friendliness and charm worked on the ranger-bicycle-cop (female!) who just gave me a verbal warning. Turns out, dogs must be on leashes on the Rio Grande trail. Oh, is that where I was? (Nature’s Garage Gym is on Stein trail, where they tend to look the other way and NOT issue off-leash fines. WIN!)
Light jog on home, up the high-and-tight stairs, and to the pool. Which is covered, and empty. So I laid out by the hot tub.
