After an absolutely soul-crushing work week last week, this week has welcomingly slowed down as many of my colleagues are on spring break with their kids. The much-needed breathing room allowed me to catch up on some things that needed doing, and I’m so grateful for that extra time. Now just imagine if I needed to join less meetings, more regularly! 🙂
A happy, happy birthday to my sister in law, one of the absolute coolest humans I get to know.
Other things I’m grateful for:
Ryan Bingham at the rodeo. SO. MUCH. FUN.
Fonda San Miguel happy hour featuring dangerously delicious—and strong!—margaritas.
Meeting some parents and friends 🙂
College roomie time & WoodsEdge church service
And stopping to sample wine at Busted Oak Cellars on the way home.
Sauna & cryo & compression at US Cryo
PT at Mondo—I got to slideboard this week! And do quick feet! I’m getting lateral and explosive, y’all!
A fun weekend ahead … SXSW and San Antonio and Kalimotxo oh my!
Lastly, I’m grateful Nali is still alive. She’s had a couple of bad nights this week, one so bad I called in the entire family crying for support (who I’m so grateful to for rallying around us, building an impromptu ramp, facetiming a vet in Colorado). She still zooms in the mornings and does her funny leap down the steps and over the sidewalk, but her body really slows down at night and it’s really sad and hard to watch. Here she is snuggling with me, though!! (terrible angles, ma!)
