Business school is coming to an end … my cohort of the Smartly EMBA program (info here) had our final Washington weekend, and it was even better than the first (though came with less existential questions, thank goodness).
I LOVE this photo, because we didn’t intentionally plan to be in the EXACT same spots as we were the first time, but we were. The people in these photos are awesome, and I am very excited for them to be my peers in establishing the new network that is Smartly alumni.
Of course, DC for me isn’t just about school, it’s about temporary roommating with my fb-gf-for-life at what is now deemed the CnE BnB, where they only serve avocado toast, steak, and wine. It’s basically heaven, as you can imagine. Even though she made me go on a 6-mile run immediately upon landing and she and her hubs adhere to the same wakeup times the military enjoys, I am so grateful for the lifelong friendship we share, and the feeling between us that no time has passed at all (also the coffee. When someone gets up that early, there is always coffee immediately upon waking, which is a godsend).
I’ll leave you with another winery recommendation: Paradise Springs Winery conveniently has a DC (Virginia) outpost and a Santa Barbara (Funk tasting room) location, so wherever you’re reading this unless you’re in Texas you’re close to a delicious and affordable winery that makes some really stellar whites. Because, you know, white wines are experiencing a true renaissance.
