I hit up SicFit Austin today, only the best garage gym in Austin!! It was so unbelievably fun. It’s what CrossFit is supposed to be–weights, random objects, and you. It’s why I think I can get away with working out outside on the playground or by the river, because it all seems so simple. And then we have to do kettlebell cleans and I have poor form and I realize that there are some things you just can’t do without equipment. But you can do things with MINIMAL equipment!
Here’s the smorgasboard:
Agilities
2 Rds: 5 burpees / 7 KB swings / 400m jog
45# burgener warmup
5 Rds 30 sec max KB clean & press (2 x 35#)
800m run
3 Rds, 5 stations: box clapping pushups, sled pull, box clapping pushups, weight rack thing push, rest
You can’t be too sure what to call the actual workout, so I just listed it all. Like I said, so much fun. Not so helpful for the rhabdo in my elbows (ok, really my forearms and biceps, thanks rope rows), but really, really fun.
It was also awesome because I got to see and workout with all my old .com buddies – me, Joe, Walt, and Richard were THE crew for .com. They were all there, plus Megan and Chad. I love the community! 😀
