I started this post, and per what-has-become-usual, did not post it until now. But it’s fitting! Because it’s the day of celebrating LOVE and I LOVE my framily!

It’s Super Bowl Ski Weeeeeekend!
Nestled in a basement with a guestroom and desk made just for me.
I had a hard time getting ready to go on this trip—not necessarily tactically, as at this point my ski bag stays perpetually packed (did I or didn’t I wash the ski socks stashed in the boots tho?) and my toiletry bag is literally always ready with travel size everything so I need only add toothbrush and go (and honestly should just buy a second quip and get on with it)—but mentally. Mentally, I just want to be here in Austin, snuggling Bob and making healthy meals and hanging with my nephew and hitting some hard workouts. But even when I’m here, that’s not what I do! Too much to catch up on and too many people to catch up with!
I couldn’t be more grateful for the full life, including the home-away-from-home that is Bend. I am lucky enough to feel like many places that belong to other people feel like home, from my aunt and uncle’s to my best friend’s to bromance’s basement studio, but the place that most feels like home that isn’t actually is my Marriage Certificate Trio’s house. Partially because they’ve made me a room and a desk and mostly because we act like family because we are.
More to come on Friday – just had to get this out today 🙂 I LOVE YOU, YAMC Blog Readers!
