You Run Everything Through Your Body

Foot, hamstring, SI joint, neck. Minor/nagging injuries to temporarily life-changing. Ground up in chronological order.

I started posting my workouts on the blog as posts, which means they get sent to email subscribers every time I do (sorry about filling your inboxes). It was really convenient for me BUT while one person wrote to say that it was inspirational; my dad said “you run everything through your body. even down to 100 reps of this, walked that.” He said it as part of a larger discussion, but it got me thinking: there’s a fine line between tracking and obsession.

But also: I DO run everything through my body. And to be clear, I love the dang thing—my body is mobile, functional, strong, beautiful. But that doesn’t mean I don’t wish it looked or worked different or better, and that’s what I constantly need to work on.

In this series of pics, I’m like dang that was a sick diving tackle; dang my arms look good; dang I look stocky around the middle…

SO, I’m moving my training notes AGAIN, this time to something only I can see. We’ll see if it works; I may still post milestones from time to time and will keep my maxes updated for my own reference at the xlyssa tab.

SO, I’m joining fitness blogger Molly Galbraith on her 28-day #LoveYourBodyChallenge: mollygalbraith.com/2014/03/cellulite-stretch-marks-and-a-love-your-body-challenge
