Since, you know, celebs go there all the time anyway. And when they’re there, they ski and yoga.
Hell, that’s all I did when I lived there too.
BUT, April 17-20, my skiing spirit animal (and yes, I know she’s a snowboarder but I don’t care because it was her [line for Oakley] ski/snowboard pants that I first wore to learn to ski and still wear to this day and they make me feel badass), Olympic silver medalist and professional snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler and international yogi and author Kathryn Budig have teamed up to create, Snow & Flow, a one-of-a-kind yoga, ski and snowboard retreat.
I love all of these things.
“So much of what I experienced throughout my snowboarding career has had to do with the foundational philosophies of yoga and meditation,” says Bleiler. “To host our inaugural retreat in Aspen is very special, not only because it’s my hometown, but it’s also the town that was founded upon the mind-body-spirit concept.”
Participants will enjoy yoga and meditation in Aspen’s yoga haven Shakti Shala and at the top of Aspen Mountain. Skiing and snowboarding will take place at Aspen Mountain. Budig will lead the group yoga classes and Bleiler will lead the meditation, skiing and snowboarding sessions.
It’s $1600 without hotel, so you kinda gotta be at least a faux celeb to enjoy it. Even if you’re local, go ahead and pony up the dough for a stay at the Limelight, at $1800 for a double (you need a roomie), it’s barely more.
