Be sure to check out the marketing agency blog I’m writing for this week! http://dn3sxsw.wordpress.com/
Last night was lots of fun. We got to see the premiere of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, after waiting in line for only an hour, sitting in the far righthand balcony of the Paramount. It was cute. My friend loved it, I thought it was okay. We were very excited later to see one of the stars at the facebook party at Pangaea (which was lots of fun), and he was super friendly and took a picture with us. Pretty cute, and it made me like the movie more because he was so nice.
The parties we hit up last night were definitely more fun than Sunday night’s, and we met more cool people. We ran around with some Canadians for a little while before meeting up with some fellas from Michigan–who we’re having dinner with tonight! Wha?!?! My friend set it up, and who am I to get in the way of her fun? We also got into a few parties that were badge-only, which was cool, but we suffered a small ego bruising when we were denied entrance to a party that some woman on the street from that very party told us we should go into. Jerks!
Tonight there aren’t very many parties, so we only have two events on the agenda: the Art Disaster 5 party at Beauty Bar (all day) and possibly the Howdy Texas party at Stubb’s … unfortunately (for us), Stubb’s is also hosting the Music Festival Opening Night party tonight, so we might not be able to get in even with our RSVP. Air Raid Launch at Red 7 is another possibility.
Of course, there’s always the PureVolume Ranch–every night–and other parties to try and weasel our way into, so I’m not worried. It is going to be a bummer when my friend and I aren’t the only girls running around though. During the interactive (nerd) festival, we’ve had some pretty sweet odds.
