YOU GUYS. First, don’t ever wear leggings and a long dress. That’s just stupid, unless it’s cold outside and no one will ever see the “leggins”. Second, don’t ever wear leggings in the summer. Third, what the hell is a corti? I don’t think anyone meant “The organ of Corti, found only in mammals, is part of the cochlea of the inner ear and is provided with hair cells or auditory sensory cells” … MORE THAN 1 person googled this, and google sent them to youaremycelebrity for answers. I don’t have any, +corti searchers, I only have this answer: leggings are over.
At least, for the summer. Pack those bad boys up in your winter closet (or storage ottoman, wherever) and we’ll discuss when it’s cold outside again. Put on a pair of shorts. Maybe jorts/jhorts. A cute sundress. A casual skirt. Flowy pants—maybe even those silky pajama pant things that are so in but so hard to pull off. Skinny jeans. High-waters. Honestly, don’t dare quote me on this but in 92.7% of cases, I think I’d rather you wear a mullet skirt than leggings. Why? Because your basic black leggings? Those are over. Bleggings are over.
Bleggings are just too bleh for summer.
This is the worst.
Now, as I googled for “mullet skirt with leggings,” which hurt me to type, I stumbled upon the following image. At first, I thought I was going to have to write a mea culpa detailing how if you have enough style you can pull off anything etc etc but upon further inspection, you can see that this fabulous blogger (who, btdubs, rocked this skirt in 2011, waaaaay before mullet skirts went mainstream) is actually wearing thigh-high socks. With knee-high boots. This is fabulous. The mullet skirt reveals just a hint of skin in the front of the leg only! It’s genius! And I don’t have to rescind my designation of leggings-mullet skirt combo as THE WORST. Bravo, blogger!
