It’s seriously an official office, y’all. Everything is bigger in Texas, including my office (because remember my closet desk in Cali?). My work title may or may not be right, but it’s been like five different things (Director of IT Product Management, Director of Client Technology, Director of IT Solution Development …) since I transitioned to IT about two years ago, so it doesn’t much matter. My (remote) (home) office is definitely right.
I love this office with my whole heart. Gorgeous windows—hello UPS man!, my Grandpa Jack’s desk chair on top of a traditional rug with a giant white desk (free, thanks neighbors!), with plenty of room for activities.
Here are my “personal things” I had on my desk back when I had a desk at the corporate office—the unicorn popper was purely for protection, of course—and the ‘girl boss’ nameplate a gift from one of my employees. I can’t explain the rubber fish.
And a desk caddy my other grandpa made:
I’ve got a random gallery wall of things and places that mean a lot to me.
And. My. Baby. Cousin’s. Art.
The couch converts into a bed, so this can also be a guest room.
It’s crazy (awesome) that I have this big of an office! Productivity on point.
