Happy International Day of Yoga!
A new yoga mat for me has been long overdue, but I finally got this gorgeous purple eKO Lite Manuka mat. Baby’s first nice yoga mat. I almost feel like a
real yogi.
But what really makes me feel like a real yogi? Yoga mat spray. That you don’t have to rub in or wipe down. So you spray and go.
Let me repeat: you spray a stinky mat down, and roll it back up, and it doesn’t stink.
Awesome!
Mat Mist (matmist.com) is a godsend. Their tagline is Seal the Magic. Love. Yoga is magic.
There are four scent combinations made from essential oils (including the “Meditation” blend with Buddhawood, Frankincense, Cypress, and Cedar to encourage depth, clarity, and focus). Each essential oil blend possesses medicinal and cleansing properties. My fave? Lemon Myrtle Peppermint Vetiver.
There’s also unscented Colloidial Silver, one of the most potent natural disinfectants (I spray this in my mouth when I’m getting sick, and on skin irritations. It’s a miracle, basically). I haven’t tried it, but I dig the idea.
Founder Cassie Cosgrove was tired of using vinegar, tea tree oil, and disposable towelettes to purify her yoga mat. “I couldn’t understand why there wasn’t a product that smells amazing and didn’t require wiping down.” Duh, neither do I. But she actually created Mat Mist, and I will just buy it from here on out (these were gifted samples). $11 for 2 ounces; $18 for 4 ounces, $3 shipping.
