The Nike Human Race has gotten a lot of coverage, especially locally because Austin is one of just five North American cities and one of 25 cities across the globe to host one. Nike expects 1 million runners to participate in this worldwide 10K on August 31. I signed up today–I’ll be one of those one million!
Really one of the cooler things about the race (aside from running with 999,999 other people), is the training groups Nike is putting together/sponsoring. They’re free with race registration, you can test drive Nike shoes and gear, plus win tons of Nike stuff, and the starting/ending locations also give you free stuff. Awesome! There are pace leaders leading runs of 3 and 5 miles, so there’s a place for anyone who wants to train! “Come Train with Us!“
