My boyfriend constantly asks me if I own Apple Bottom jeans (thanks a lot, Flo-Rider, for making that song that says “Apple Bottom jeans, boots with the fur,” that is on some radio station in Austin at any given minute during the day).
“No, I don’t need to. I do not have an apple bottom,” I said to him sweetly the first time. The third time, it was a little more sharp.
I do love jeans though: Earnest Sewn and Joe’s Jeans being my all-time faves. There’s this “sample sale” put on by I-don’t-know-who called The Warehouse Sale, and I went last time with my mom and got a pretty sweet pair of jeans, so I went again today.
Again, I got a pretty sweet pair of jeans: J Brand, overdyed, so there’s no variation in color, they’re just deep, deep indigo. Tight, with a slight, flattering, flare. Perfect fit on the butt, very little muffin top (it’ll stretch out, you have to buy jeans with a teeny-tiny bit of muffin top or they’ll be too big after three minutes of wearing) … so perfect that I tried them on for the friend that came with me and she said, “those fit you perfectly! Find me some that fit me like that!”
I also bought a sequined dress that I did NOT need to buy, but I’ve been wanting one like it forever. Every starlet has one, why can’t I? It’s awesome. I can’t wait to break it out … um, I don’t know when, but I will. Sometime. And it will be awesome. The sale keeps going all day tomorrow, so check out the website and maybe hit it up!
