Tonight, ABC will premiere My Generation – a new scripted drama set in Austin, Texas. And filmed at my high school! Maybe not a lot of awesome has come out of that school (except me, and my bro) but this show actually has made quite a splash with pre-reviewers. It’s kind of expected to be a darling this season (think Glee).
What’s the deal? The series follows a group of nine graduates as they prepare to move on from Greenbelt High School in Austin, and catches up with them 10 years later when they return home for their high school reunion, documentary-style. Are they all where they expected to be 10 years later? Will returning to their roots change where their lives are headed?
Stars mostly newbies Michael Stahl-David as Steven, Kelli Garner as Dawn, Jaime King as Jacqueline, Keir O’Donnell (Wedding Crashers) as Kenneth, Sebastian Sozzi as he Falcon, Mechad Brooks (ABC’s The Deep End) as Rolly, Anne Son as Caroline, Daniella Alonso as Brenda and Julian Morris as Anders. Check it out: abc.go.com/shows/my-generation or watch it tonight at 8ET/PT on ABC!
Other faves for fall:
- I am LOVING Hellcats. It’s embarrassing, but we already know I love cheesy shows and dance movies. But Ashley Tisdale is awesome as Savannah and Marti is HOT, I wish I could dance like her.
- Nikita, the CW’s much-hyped spy show? Pales in comparison to USA’s Covert Affairs, which is off the air for now. Hulu it. (Piper Perabo stars … Coyote Ugly … man I’m predictable)
- Still watching Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210, and Life Unexpected. All on the CW. I also love how they re-use people from their failed shows on their new shows. Loyalty! Again, thank god for TiVO.
What are you watching? Because I’m not TiVO-ing enough shows already …
