This is a hard post to write, because I wanted the HCG Diet to work. I believed in it, I followed the rules to a T, and it did work. But 2 1/2 weeks later the pounds have snuck back on, and all the sudden I’m not as slim as I was and I’m back up close to my starting weight.
When others told me, “My friend did that diet, but she gained all the weight back,” I must confess to thinking She must not have followed the protocol strictly. She must have binged.
But I followed the protocol strictly, I didn’t binge, and yet I gained some of the weight back. It’s really hard admitting defeat here.
I DO think that there was some fat redistribution.
So would I recommend the HCG diet? I don’t think it hurts, and if you don’t already eat paleo or primal, I’d bet it’d be an eye-opening way to spark change in your diet. But for me? I’m bummed to admit it didn’t really work and I definitely won’t do it again (unless I need to drop weight relatively quickly for some reason).
To all the people who found this blog through searching for HCG, I’d encourage you to stick with it and share with me your results. Maybe it will work for you?
… on to the next one. I’ve got to figure out what’s going on with me physically, chemically, emotionally, to break free …
