It’s been called the largest Charlie Brown Christmas tree anyone has ever seen. But it’s mine, and I killed it all by myself (with my dad and the new hand saw he purchased for me), and I love it.
I have a sentimental-uncaring relationship with mementos and trinkets that remind me of wonderful times … but really, what am I supposed to do with plastic rings, 2012 beads, concert ticket stubs, and cute save-the-dates from 2012? My year-round trick is to put them all up on a board, which I will inevitably throw away in 2013, once I’m more removed from the sentimental value.
This year, in a flash of inspiration, I decided I’d hang these mementos on my Christmas tree as ornaments!
… it’s not quite as … beautiful … stunning … full … as I envisioned, but I think with more physical mementos and less paper ones, it’d be awesome.
Can you execute this vision better than I did? Consider it said here first: I will in 2013!
