Monday night, it rained for the first time in a long time in Austin. It was so beautiful to sit on my front porch reading a book and listening to the rain. It was a perfectly peaceful moment.
My pupper has had a good week with good walks, small zoomies, and only one or two house poops… we took a truck ride to run errands 🙂
I. Played. Volleyball! 4s. Six months and a week exactly from achilles surgery. It felt great. No pain, no soreness, no scariness. Sports! I’m back!
I shattered my iPhone camera but my team assures me it makes my photos look artsy and cool. Is this what being the boss is like? They just appease you as if you don’t know on your own what’s cool because you’re the boss?!
Oh my god my windows—they are SO clean.
I am SO excited for the upcoming party this weekend.
I’m grateful for my cousins coming over for last-minute brunch, with a neighbro stop by and neph feeding. So lucky and happy to have family so close and to love them so damn much.
I’m grateful for a rowdy group of friends on the biggest boat on the lake last weekend.
And that the aforementioned fam dealt with a scary splat for me from the lil pupper.
I’m grateful for my ever-helpful humanitarian warrior, who makes fun things even more fun.
I’m grateful to my PT, grateful for the kettlebell swing challenge (we’ve done 6,500!), grateful for jumping and playing and leaf-vacuuming and chainsawing and being able to be active again.
Grateful for all of it.
