International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) is the largest and most comprehensive education initiative of the compost industry. It is celebrated each year in the first full week of May.
I thought composting was silly when my brother first suggested it, but he ignored my teasing and built us a compost just under the window that’s over our kitchen sink. But now I love it, because it’s easy to throw food out the window and the thought of using it to mulch the blackberry tree my hippie brother planted makes me really happy. More for the blackberries than the actual mulching.
