I walked to three parks in Aspen today looking for a good “fireman’s pole” on a playground to use as my rope for the rope climbs in today’s .com workout. Alas, I was stymied at every single one, so it was down to the bridge and I was resigned to sub something for rope climbs … when I realized I could climb the bridge!
I hung from the lowest rung of the rail and pulled myself up!
So my .com outside WOD looked like this:
15 Min AMRAP
1 bridge climb
20 bicycle crunches (to simulate extra ab work from actual rope climb)
10 dips (on a bench)
20 x 45# rock thrusters (to simulate 20# wallballs)
Rounds = 5
