IBM has invited me to participate in a #MySmarterCommerce campaign where I am (and YOU! are) invited to share my story around the role technology and social media play in our lives. The goal is to create conversation around what Smarter Commerce means to all of us. IBM has been exploring the concept internally, and now wants to get more info.
At first I laughed. Like any digital native, my first thought was: technology and social media doesn’t just play a role in my life, they are my life.
Yet. They aren’t, because like any digital native using tech and social for both my professional and personal life, I realize that tech and social are tools, but not my whole life. What would I have to share if I was not out in the world, trying new restaurants, pursuing outdoor activities, shopping?
So. Smarter Commerce is a fine line. Smarter Commerce is personal and professional, everything and inconsequential, ever-present but something to be unplugged from to enjoy. More directly, Smarter Commerce is fast, responsive, tailored, smart.
What’s it to you?
Here’s a cool infographic they did on their ideas:
#spon: I have been invited by IBM to share my honest thoughts and experiences around Smarter Commerce, and as part of this collaboration, IBM may provide me with product, access, content or other forms of remuneration. All opinions are expressly my own.
