I’m now a bit of a blondie!
So I love Pink Salon. And I love my stylist Johanna. She calls me “lovey” when I come in. And she makes my hair absolutely stunning.
I first went to Pink two months ago after reading all sorts of great reviews on yelp. Johanna did a great job with my haircut, and then gave me subtle highlights–the first of my life! So when I went in this past Saturday and asked her to make me blonde, but not really blonde, sort of like Gisele Bundchen, she squealed (in a totally suave and cool way), “that’s what I was about to say! They do this briage treatment on her that we’ll do on you!”
Briage? … So Johanna continues talking about how we’ll make it look natural like I just vacationed in Brazil for a few months, and it’ll be so fun and brighten up my face. Two hours later, I’m sporting a beautiful, silky caramel blonde–SO Gisele! (um, hair color only, unfortunately) As I walked down South Congress to lunch at Guero’s, I felt like everyone was staring at me, admiring my amazing hair color. It was great.
I’m just thrilled with Pink, and with Johanna particularly. I know I’ve only been in twice, but both times she’s been able to completely capture exactly what I want, even if I can’t articulate it perfectly. She’s sweet, energetic, smart … I love her. And it seems like the rest of the stylists at Pink are just as great. And their magazine selection is ridic, which is great when toasting under a heater to develop your briage highlights. 🙂
One complaint I’ve heard about Pink is that you never know what they’re going to charge, and that much is true. But for me, the results have been so great that it’s worth whatever I pay–in a reasonable range, of course. I hear highlights normally cost $150 at nice salons, so as long as we’re coming in under that–and we definitely did both times–I’m happy!
