Camping in the desert was not nearly as bad as expected… but the company was as great as expected! It felt like—and was—SO MUCH DRIVING, but we did some cool hiking, got to see some beautiful vistas, and getting out of cell service is just always good. I also finally got to see a bit of the hipster paradise Marfa, and I kind of get it now.
It made me miss my Marriage Certificate Trio and our camping trips immensely; I am so grateful for how many amazing trips we took together, and hope that even though they’ll look different with their growing family, that I’ll get to adventure with them again soon!
… or get to do anything again soon!
This week flew by and crawled along at the same time, and I literally never knew what day it is (like, literally, what numeric day is it right now?). I am grateful for a basketball adventure that turned into illegal beers and late-night backboard-less HORSE (I lost if you can believe it; I couldn’t), fixing the backboard with my dad, long phone conversations, wonderful customer service people (seriously! love you Monica from Tablas Creek), lots of yoga, neighborhood dog walking friends, hilarious FaceTimes through west Texas, late nights, late mornings, my new (secondhand) Z Supply overalls inspired by Chels, and a fun weekend ahead with virtual wine tasting and more super-hot outdoor adventures on tap!
