I’m traveling and sticking to the .com schedule, so I had to find a pullup bar yesterday for 2-2-2-2-2-2-2 weighted pullups. I stopped into Boston’s Equinox gym, thinking I could enjoy a pampering hot tub dip and other amenities after my workout, only to be told that they don’t do day passes. Really?! I can’t pay the same fee your members pay for a month to work out for a day? I was not happy.
Luckily, there was a Healthworks gym around the corner. Healthworks, however, is a women’s-only gym. Not exactly my scene 🙂 But I did get in a great workout and quick pilates-with-props class that left my abs ridiculously sore today.
Today, we’re in Vermont, and I got to go work out at That Ripped Guy of Mine(TM)’s former racquetball haunt, the Club at the Old Mill. Another great workout, though another I probably could have done outside with no equipment (6 rounds of 50 squats and 25 ring dips, I subbed strict dips for ring dips).
It’s been fun to travel and work out in different gyms!
