Seriously, these 100-cal GoMacro bars are the perfect bite to pop between football games to stay energized without feeling full.
Good bars are hard to find, which is why I generally don’t rely on them for snacks. But they’re so convenient! So when GoMacro offered to send me some 100-calorie samples, how could I say no?
These are awesome. They were game-changers on our epic Grand Canyon hike, the perfect 100-calorie snack to chow down on in a few bites during a quick rest stop.
They’re also great workday snacks, filling and satiating. Do be aware: They are pretty high carb with lower fat and protein. One thing I like a lot about them is that some are nut free. Paleo diets and their corresponding snack bars often rely too much on nuts, so it’s refreshing to see a few seed-based bars in the mix.
My fave flavas are:
- peanut butter chocolate chip
- cherries + berries
- banana + almond butter
But honestly, they’re all palatable (unlike many bars!). Other than Tanka bars (buffalo, but oddly high in sugar), I haven’t found a bar I regularly buy or recommend, but this will be my new go-to!
The assorted box of minis is $30.95 for 24 bars is around $1.20/bar, which isn’t cheap but isn’t really expensive either. I can’t find the minis on amazon or Thrive, though, so it looks like you might have to go direct to the source for the minis.
