I am grateful for Ginger Lynne, the Jeep.
She has brought me on countless adventures throughout the beach cities, occasionally inland, one excessively chilly trip to Malibu, and off-roading in the desert only to be challenged by her return to the freeway (toddler temper tantrum). Ginger Lynne stroked my fragile “cool-girl” ego, gave me occasion to wear an evening gown and a hoody at the same time—shocking the valets when I climbed out, made for epic pictures, filled up easily with friends, let me work on her or at least learn what to look for and where it was, and put me in a good mood most mornings.
Ginger Lynne also reliably broke down every three months (don’t worry, literally everything is fixed now though). Taught me why JEEP stands for Just Empty Every Pocket. Made me reliant on friends for carpools, rides, and road trips. Possibly ruined my face.
So, basically a break-even.
This is me processing my decision to move on.
