They just feel like home.
Y’know when you go home, wherever that is, and there’s just this sigh of relief, like you’re cozy and comfortable and can slip into an old, taken-care-of, unconditionally loved skin? That’s this framily, this group of friends on its third-annual Super Bowl ski weekend in Mammoth.
My marriage certificate trio, meeting a baby, my low-key best friend, ski buddies, the Billyssa Gash, bluebird skiing, girls pics, 60-degree patio afternoons, a weird neck rash, interlopers, diva coffees, pocket claws, LAX pick up and drop off … so grateful for absolutely everything and everyone on last weekend’s trip.
And this week? Grateful for leisure time, for days that seem short because they are unhurried, for Tuesdays at ABP, for a crazy new yoga move (pincha mayurasana pressup, meaning from a straddle forward fold … with a LARGE amount of the teacher’s help), for random Austin snow that turned to sunny-and-75 just one day later, for my awesome therapist, for really hard conversations that *should* lead to growth, for opportunities, and for filing. Grateful Megs is coming in tonight and I get my bestie here for the weekend! Here we go…
