HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, PARENTS!
HAPPY DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIP, M & P!
HAPPY FLOWERS, ME!
My dad surprised me with flowers (from him & my mom) on Monday, and they literally and figuratively brightened up my whole week. I felt so supported, seen, and loved—thank you, Dad. Life is changing in a big way, and it’s awesome.
I’ve hinted at how intense this week was in other posts, but this week was the start of something new and the wrap-up of an important and empowering chapter of my life, all at the same time. Add to that a new 7am start to most of my days, and you have one worn out—but content!—Lyss.
Amazing things to be grateful for:
A bike ride across town. SUP + bats. Lifting at the Coronado Street gym. Book club. I cannot say enough amazing things about book club! Even virtual, I felt super connected to my west coast friends. Fantasy football draft and staying connected to my bromance. The peloton, which is a quick-hit mood-booster if there ever was one. The Friends n Family salsa + wine tasting (was it only a week ago? It feels like YEARS) with my friends and family. And, of course, the pup that is the very best pup in the whole world.
