Lil Nali gave us quite a scare, so much so that I flew home early from a work conference and spent a bunch of hours in her closet, so many, in fact, that I’m pretty sure I annoyed her and she got up and left her own safe space … whoops.
I’m grateful it was a false alarm.
I’m so so grateful for my fam that rallied around her, arranging shifts so that she wasn’t alone more than an hour or so until I got home. For my bro, who made my office his for a few days.
I’m grateful for fun weekend adventures before the conference, including an exclusive SX ranch party where the best friends were made waiting for the shuttle in the parking lot. I love having an awesome sis-in-law.
I’m grateful the bulk of the conference—which went really freakin’ well!—was already over. I’m grateful I could catch an earlier flight. I’m grateful my coworkers and team and bosses are so understanding.
I’m grateful for the afterparty that was hilariously waiting for me at my own house after said ranch party.
I’m grateful for the SXSBasque event at Kalimotxo, one of my favorite restos in Austin, and now one of my favorite events I’ve attended, and I love love loved my dress from Farm Rio that I wore 🙂
I’m grateful for this gorgeous spring weather, the absolute best time of year in Austin.
I’m grateful for porch sittin’.
I’m grateful for PT and getting to jump (!!) and making friends and healing and compressive socks.
I’m grateful for lattes a la dada and no peopling with mama.
I’m so grateful for this life.
