Despite being 32, I still have to do what my mom tells me. Most of the time.
I made the decision yesterday not to do a Feel Good Friday post. Not a big statement, I just didn’t feel like it, and since the only pressure on this blog is my own, I said I don’t hafta!
And then today, my mom texted me asking where Feel Good Friday was, and I was reminded that the whole point of writing a blog, even if the only pressure is on yourself, is uplifting others. Sharing.
So even if when I feel like I’m sharing a lot of myself with others in real life, it’s worth a little time to do it online too.
Today I am grateful for my mom, but I am also grateful for myself. Grateful for who I am, and all the people along the way who molded me and shaped me and helped make me who I am. I have worked hard to be thoughtful and conscientious about who I am, how I treat myself, and how I believe in myself. Knowing there is and will always be room to grow, change, be better, be different, even be worse, I am grateful for who I am right now.
