Before we dig in, my very first in-person art show starts tomorrow!! Click here for some of the work, and more details on the studio tour/art crawl.
Not even apologizing anymore for my erratic gratitude post schedule.
I am so grateful for who I am. For who I’ve chosen to have in my life. For the life I’ve built and the ways that I’ve constantly evaluated what I’m doing, who I’m doing it with, and why I’m doing it. I’m grateful for the choices and decisions I’ve made over the years that have led me to where I am right here right now. I have a job I love, absolutely astounding friends, ridiculous adventures, and a home that brings me deep joy.
As for the things I’m most grateful for over the last two weeks? They’re almost too many to name…
Like how amazing was my Scottsdale trip?? It was absolutely everything I imagined and was exactly what I needed. I arrived to a JJ t-shirt hanging in my room, soooo many pupper snuggles especially my baby Eleanor/Anton who slept with me every night (don’t tell Nali), a hilarious quickmulch tumble, and easy hangout time with my very best friends. Even the traitor game was so much fun.
The week saw me flying semi-private to Dallas, driving heavy machinery like excavators and bulldozers as a partner event, and hosting a group of friends. Friday we ate at Oakmont, my perennial fave, and Saturday morning we played pickup flag football—still one of my favorite things in my life right now. Then we picked up a cabana fridge hand-me-down, which is a major backyard game upgrade that I am so stoked about (and is fully stocked with seltzers).
And then we threw one of the most epic parties I’ve ever thrown—especially as an empty bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos. There was time with new friends and old, hilarious and heartfelt bathroom/tub conversations, lots and lots of love and support and shenanigans and dancing and connecting and friend groups from many areas of my life.
Then this week was nuts; so nuts that I booked a 45-minute gym sesh at Regymen and drove myself to BFree yoga instead, which I was not registered for and lasts an hour and I did not have time for… and they laughed at me and took me in all my craziness. It’s amazing how yoga is always there for you. Or me.
I’m grateful for all the support in advance of my art show, and all I can do now is cross my fingers and hope people show up!!
