The first Feel Good Friday of 2015!
2014 was a year of steadiness, of stability, of growth, of peace, and patience. In 2014, I visited Aspen, Austin, Leakey (Texas), New Orleans (twice!), Denver, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Ireland, Hawaii, Sonoma wine country, Big Sur, and Park City. I made new friends, I reconnected with old ones. I played football, volleyball, basketball; I surfed, skiied, hiked. I loved, laughed, and cried. I relaunched a website, continued building a startup, and created my own staging server. I turned 30.
2014 was the year of Is, and so it Was.
I am beyond grateful for my support system, which includes but is not limited to my amazing mom, dad, and brother, my dawg, my ridiculous(ly awesome) roommate, my girlfriends flung far and wide (Aspen, DC, Austin), Stormy/BT, my work wife, my CrossFit girls, and my football teams. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to live by the beach, to bike, to train, to learn and improve, to lead a department, to grow a brand, to make a small difference in the world.
And yet.
I am restless. I am content, but am I happy? I am excitable, but am I excited?
I have no idea what 2015 has in store for me. I’m not a long-term planner; I tend to trust my gut.
2015 is the year of Openness. Open in so many ways: open my heart, open my mind, open my fears, open my options, open my beliefs.
