A faux celeb summary of my solo female travel adventure for 2.5 weeks living out of an adult backpack in Europe… I had an awesome time, nothing life altering happened, I was safe as could be all the time, I loved all my airbnbs, I love Norway, and I am happy to come home. To Austin.
3 Things I Did Well:
- My adult backpack – Briidgs
- Layers … so happy about my down vest, rain jacket, and wool socks
- Layovers—London and Copenhagen were great
5 Things I Could Have Done Better:
- Dirtbag Laundry … how in the world do people get things to dry in the bathroom after they wash them in the sink?!
- Inspected my jeans for potential tears … When you pack 3 pairs of pants and 2 of them rip … you just wear them ripped.
- Re-up on the snacks – it just makes you feel better, spend less money, and eat better
- Swap the Hydroflask water bottle for a Vapur – much easier when not in use, and fits better in the fanny
- NO reason to bring cash and exchange it; everyone takes cards and some places ONLY take cards!
7 Things The Trip Made Me Want to Do:
- Danish/Scandinavian/Dutch interior design
- Walk everywhere
- Go back to Norway
- Travel internationally more even if they need to be shorter trips
- Take my time, have more days with no agendas
- Get rid of clothing – have a more limited wardrobe
- Eat less food
