Now I have a new dumpling obsession after last night’s Luxe Magazine‘s Battle of the Chefs event where I ate Tanuki‘s scallop dumplings (they won the competition). I brought a couple of friends and my mom, which brought back so many memories of all the Orange Coast events I attended! Ah, a different chapter of life, and what a good one.
It’s been a good eatin’ week, I was in NYC for just 24 hours and had some of the best noodles I’ve ever had in my whole life. They stretched and twirled and smashed the noodles and they were amazing and chewy in this ridiculous, spicy, delicious broth.
Other awesome things this week that revolved around food: Friday night dinner with a super random but awesome crew, Supper Club Szn at Austin Winery, another Apt 115 stop, a bike ride around Town Lake complete with rescue call to Dad which had me riding in the back of his two-seater truck down mopac… thanks, Dad.
A busy, exciting, gratifood-filled week.
