After an exhausting stint that involved 5 days in an RV in the desert at Stagecoach straight into a three-day west to east coast business trip, I got back last night completely drained—and with drainage in my throat. I try so hard to keep myself from getting sick by being cognizant of my fatigue, both physical and mental, but sometimes I guess you just can’t control for everything. So on this feel good friday when I definitely don’t feel good, I am trying to be grateful for my good health (like my pain-free life), and reflect back on just how much fun Stagecoach was.
This was my first time camping in an RV for 5 days, and it was a blast. We hit the pools every morning, relaxed around the RV, then headed into the festival. Made some new friends, invented some new sangria styles (no pedialyte fwiw), and shared more laughs than should be legal. Perhaps most impressive, we managed to escape without sunburns!
The seminal moment of the whole weekend? Sunday night, the wind howling, the weather not quite cold but for the wind, and Garth Brooks singing Shameless along with 75,000 other people. It was unreal.
I just might be hooked on this festival.
