Flipping a traditional business model and notion of what fine jewelry is on its head is a risky notion for any company, particularly a young startup. But Ready-Made has done just that, with exquisite branding to boot.
Their beautiful jewelry is made with a completely new material they designed, 316L stainless steel plated in titanium nitride (tinite), which is so hard and heat resistant that it’s used to plate high-speed drills! But it looks like fine jewelry, despite its super-affordable price point. Case in, er, point:
This gorgeous bar pendant clocks in with 24″ chain and engraving at a mere $45! (mine says ‘vulnerability‘, naturally)
They also released anklets, which I freakin’ love. I haven’t taken mine off since it arrived, and it was $13. Thirteen dollars! Have some ’90s nostalgia around the Hard Candy jelly rings? They make those too, though not jelly anymore.
Ready-Made also has amazing customer service. This is my favorite kind of company to support: one that’s thinking outside the (jewelry) box and creating something entirely new in a traditional category.
