Hard to believe it’s been four months of this.
Workouts
- I WAS BORN TOO LATE!! Women’s flag football to become a collegiate sport … so far only 15 schools have signed on, but more are in the works.
- BFree’s Digital Studio is up and running, and I took my first class with the lovely Shelby on the new platform. I forgot how hard of a yoga teacher she is!
Entertainment
- Y’all, I love dance movies. But never has one made me laugh out loud and cry like Netflix’s Feel the Beat. It’s like if Virgin River met Honey met Save the Last Dance (omg need to rewatch!) met the one Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan starred in (Step Up). It’s awesome.
- Baby Sitter’s Club as a series?! THESE ARE THE FORMATIVE BOOKS OF MY YOUTH.
- Don’t understand corontime? No one does, but these exercises help explain the science behind it.
“Social”
- Excited for Tablas Creek’s virtual tasting event of their 2019 Picardan, a new-to-me white varietal, in conjunction with Angela Osborne, winemaker at A Tribute to Grace (love a female winemaker!).
Feed Me
- Thanks to my childhood bestie talking about it, I got my first Imperfect Foods order this week. I am thrilled. Did you know they do WAY more than produce?! They have eggs, cheese, wild-caught fish, happy meat and chicken … EVERYTHING! And for SUCH good deals! You should try it too—here’s $10.
- So good they get their own bullet: Imperfect Foods also has Sonoma Brinery pickles! These are the best pickles in the whole world, and I used to get them at Trader Joe’s but I’m still refusing to wait in a 15-minute line to shop there so haven’t been in months. Anyway, these pickles are the pickle-y-est pickles I’ve ever had that don’t have that sour, pucker-inducing taste. They’re just fresh and fermenty and just unbelievably delicious.
Daydream Wednesday
- Flights AUS > PHX are $19 RT. Denver & Vegas are $11. Nashville & Chicago are $44. Is it time for domestic travel?! I didn’t melt in the desert, but I can’t camp any more in Texas this summer… so what should I do?!
- An adorable local trip—Boerne, Texas—post from friend and Houston blogger Cammeo Head to Toe.
Shop shoppin’ away
- I don’t order that much online, but I feel like every time I go out of town, IT ALL SHOWS UP AT ONCE. Like, Nali’s flea meds and a new clean deodorant and backordered mascara and a face mask and my groceries from Thrive Market. Great things I need and want, but nothing too exciting. But it still looks to my maillady and mom who has to bring the packages in like I’m BUYING ALL THE THINGS!
- Which, to be fair, I also sometimes do. I just also return all the things. For instance, I tried for a straw visor to complement my adventure hat and my embarrassing desert camping hat. Nope. Those were ugly—even the UPS guy agreed—and went immediately back to Amazon.
- But, I mean, this cropped social distancing tank is too perfect for the times, right?
Week 17: the convo. Week 16 (the rant). Week 15. Week 14. Week 14+. Week 13 skipped (it’s unlucky anyway). Week 12 (not really about Covid). Week 11. Week 10. Week 9. Week 8. Week 7. Week 6. Week 5 here. Week 4 here. Week 3’s here. Week 2’s here. There is no Week 1 because we didn’t know back then.
